Therapist Wylie TX | Anxiety & Trauma Therapy
If you are looking for virtual therapy in Wylie, TX, I offer therapy for high achievers who are used to staying on top of everything, even when it starts to feel mentally exhausting. From the outside, your life may look stable and productive. Internally, it can feel like constant pressure, overthinking, or the sense that your mind never really turns off.
I also provide therapy for men who already understand their patterns but still find themselves stuck in cycles of stress, emotional shutdown, or carrying more than they process. In Wylie, many people are balancing work connected to Dallas, time spent commuting, and the shift into family responsibilities at home, which leaves very little space to actually slow down and reset.
Virtual therapy creates a structured, consistent place to step out of that cycle without adding more friction to your routine. It allows you to engage in focused, meaningful work from your own space, making it easier to stay consistent and go deeper over time.
Below, you will find a range of services designed to support you at different stages of that process. You are invited to explore them and find what feels like the right fit for you.
How it works
Step 1: Stabilize the System
We start by identifying how survival mode is currently operating in your body. We map your triggers, your stress patterns, and your overfunctioning responses. From the beginning, we build nervous system regulation so you have immediate tools to reduce reactivity and increase steadiness.
Step 2: Resolve the Root Patterns
Once stability is in place, we address the trauma and learned patterns underneath the pressure. Overfunctioning, perfectionism, emotional suppression, hyper-independence — we untangle these at the source so you’re not just managing symptoms, you’re changing the wiring driving them.
Step 3: Expand Capacity and Integration
As regulation strengthens, we shift toward integration. Leadership becomes steadier. Relationships feel less reactive. Decisions feel clearer. You begin operating from embodied control instead of chronic bracing. This is where survival strength transforms into regulated power.
Individual Therapy
Between the nonstop flow of traffic along FM 544, kids’ activities, and constant errands through downtown, it is easy to stay in motion all day. Even high-achieving adults who appear composed can experience ongoing internal pressure, mental fatigue, and emotional tension that does not switch off once the day ends.
Through therapy for high achievers, I help you understand how this constant pressure is affecting both your body and your mind. In our sessions, we work to break patterns of overthinking, reduce emotional overload, and create a greater sense of presence and control, so you can move through Wylie’s pace without carrying the same internal strain.
Therapy for Men
You may be showing up for work, for your family, and handling responsibilities, but there can be stress, irritability, or a sense of disconnection that is harder to name.
Through therapy for men, I work with you to understand how these patterns have developed and why they tend to stay in place, even when you are aware of them. Our sessions focus on helping you move out of overthinking, emotional shutdown, or constant self-pressure, and into a way of functioning that feels more grounded, clear, and sustainable over time.
This is a space to work through what you typically carry on your own, with structure, clarity, and a focus on real change.
Burnout Therapy
Burnout therapy is designed for moments when your usual way of coping no longer feels sustainable. You may still be functioning, but there’s a sense of exhaustion underneath it all. Focus may come and go, and your energy may feel inconsistent. I help you understand how your system adapted to long term demands. Burnout therapy focuses on why those patterns remain, even when they’re no longer helpful. Together, we work toward a way of functioning that feels more steady, more regulated, and less draining over time.
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety therapy is designed for moments when your thoughts feel overwhelming or difficult to manage. You may notice that your mind jumps from one concern to another, keeping your system in a constant state of tension.
I help you understand how this pattern developed and how it’s maintained at a nervous system level. Together, we work toward helping you feel more steady, more focused, and less driven by constant worry.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy is designed for moments when your past still feels active in your present. You may notice intrusive thoughts, emotional intensity, or patterns that don’t fully make sense based on your current life.
I use EMDR therapy to help your system process those experiences at a deeper level, so they no longer carry the same weight. Together, we work toward helping you feel more present, more grounded, and less reactive.
PTSD Therapy
PTSD therapy is a space to work through experiences that your system hasn’t fully processed. You may feel like you’ve moved on mentally, but your body still reacts with tension, anxiety, or emotional intensity.
In my approach, we focus on helping your system release what it’s been holding so those experiences no longer feel present. This helps you feel more grounded, more stable, and more connected to your current life.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is designed for moments when thinking through things hasn’t been enough to create change. You may understand your patterns, but still feel tension, stress, or emotional responses that don’t shift.
I help you work at the level where these patterns are held, in your body and nervous system. From there, we begin to create change that feels more lasting and integrated.
Betrayal trauma therapy
Betrayal trauma and infidelity therapy is designed for moments when your system feels overwhelmed by what happened. You may notice intrusive thoughts, emotional intensity, or difficulty staying present in your day.
I help you process these responses more deeply so they begin to ease over time. This supports you in feeling more grounded, clearer, and less consumed by the experience.
I serve clients in Wylie TX and nearby areas
I support clients in Wylie, TX through virtual therapy, making it easier to stay consistent without adding more pressure to an already full schedule.
Living in Wylie often means being close enough to Dallas to stay connected to work demands, but far enough that commuting, traffic, and time coordination take up a significant part of your day. By the time you are home, shifting into family responsibilities or trying to decompress, adding another place to drive to is not always realistic.
Virtual therapy allows you to log in from your own space and still have a structured, focused place to process what is actually going on, whether that’s anxiety, burnout, or feeling mentally stuck. It removes the friction that usually gets in the way of consistency, so the work can actually move forward.
This way, therapy fits into your life as it is, not as it should be.

“I told Monica at our last session, that she saved my life. It would take me a long time to tell you what I've gained from meeting her. She's a life saver. Words can't describe how much she had helped me. I'm trying to think of words to describe my experience, but there are none. She's an angel, and without a doubt, the BEST therapist I ever spoke to. The things she helped me with, I'll take with me for the rest of my life.”

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
