Therapist Fate TX | Anxiety & Trauma Therapy

If you’re looking for a trauma therapist near Fate, TX, I offer therapy for high achievers who are navigating anxiety, burnout, and a level of emotional overload that does not simply resolve on its own.

Many of the people I work with are used to functioning at a high level. You may be someone others rely on, someone who handles responsibility, makes decisions, and keeps things moving, even when there is underlying pressure or mental fatigue building over time. Eventually, that pace starts to have a cost.

My work includes therapy for high achievers as well as therapy for men who tend to carry stress internally and find themselves stuck in patterns like overthinking, irritability, constant pressure, or emotional shutdown. The focus in our sessions is not just insight, but helping you shift the patterns that keep you operating this way.

Fate is a fast-growing area, and that growth often brings a shift in pace, more responsibility, and higher expectations across different areas of life. From the outside, things can look stable or even successful, while internally it may feel like your mind never fully slows down.

Most people reach out when what used to work, pushing through, staying busy, or trying to stay in control, no longer feels sustainable. That is usually the point where deeper work becomes necessary.

How it works

Step 1: Stabilize the System

We start by identifying how survival mode is currently operating in your body. We map your triggers, your stress patterns, and your overfunctioning responses. From the beginning, we build nervous system regulation so you have immediate tools to reduce reactivity and increase steadiness.

Step 2: Resolve the Root Patterns

Once stability is in place, we address the trauma and learned patterns underneath the pressure. Overfunctioning, perfectionism, emotional suppression, hyper-independence — we untangle these at the source so you’re not just managing symptoms, you’re changing the wiring driving them.

Step 3: Expand Capacity and Integration

As regulation strengthens, we shift toward integration. Leadership becomes steadier. Relationships feel less reactive. Decisions feel clearer. You begin operating from embodied control instead of chronic bracing. This is where survival strength transforms into regulated power.

Individual Therapy

Therapy for high achievers is designed for individuals who are used to functioning at a high level, managing responsibility, solving problems, and staying in control, even when it starts to feel mentally and emotionally unsustainable.

You may be someone who others depend on. You get things done, meet expectations, and keep moving forward. At the same time, there may be constant mental activity, pressure to stay ahead, difficulty slowing down, or a sense that your mind never fully turns off. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, irritability, burnout, or a growing sense of disconnection.

In this work, I focus on helping you understand how these patterns developed and why they continue to operate automatically, even when they no longer serve you. We look at how overthinking, self-pressure, and internal tension show up in your day-to-day life, and how they affect your ability to feel clear, present, and regulated.

Therapy for Men

This service supports men who are used to handling stress independently but are starting to feel the impact on their relationships, mood, or overall functioning. You may notice increased frustration, emotional distance, or difficulty expressing what is happening internally.

Many men come in after trying to ignore or outwork the issue. Over time, that stops being effective, and patterns of shutdown or irritability become more noticeable.

Therapy for men is direct and grounded. Sessions focus on helping you understand what is happening internally and respond differently without forcing approaches that do not feel natural.

Burnout Therapy

Burnout therapy is a space to pause when your system has been running at full capacity for too long.  You might still be showing up in your life, but it feels heavier now. There may be a constant tiredness, difficulty concentrating, or a sense that you’re just getting through the day.

In my approach, we explore how prolonged stress has impacted your body and your responses. Burnout therapy helps you understand why your system hasn’t been able to fully recover.  From there, we begin to create shifts that allow for more sustainable energy, more clarity, and a different relationship with pressure.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety therapy is a space to slow down when your system has been operating in a constant state of alert.  You may still be functioning well but internally feel restless, tense, or unable to fully settle into rest.

In my approach, we explore how anxiety is held in your body and how it influences your reactions, attention, and sense of control.  This allows us to shift those patterns, so you can feel more stable, more present, and less overwhelmed by your thoughts.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy is a space to process experiences that still feel unresolved in your system.  You may notice certain memories, situations, or emotions continue to affect you, even when you try to move forward.

The sessions will help your brain and body complete the processing that didn’t happen at the time, reducing the impact those experiences have on you now.  As this work unfolds, you begin to feel more present, more grounded, and less affected by past events.

PTSD Therapy

PTSD therapy is a space to work through the lasting impact of experiences that disrupted your sense of safety.  You may notice difficulty trusting, feeling settled, or fully relaxing, even when your environment is stable.

In my approach, we focus on helping your system rebuild a sense of safety by processing those experiences at a deeper level.  As this work progresses, you begin to feel more grounded, more secure, and more connected to yourself and your surroundings.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is a space to work with what your body has been holding over time.  You may notice patterns of tension, disconnection, or difficulty relaxing, even when you try to slow down.

In my approach, we focus on helping your system release stored stress through awareness and gentle processing.  This allows you to feel more present, more at ease, and more connected to yourself.

Betrayal trauma therapy

Betrayal trauma and infidelity therapy is a space to process the emotional and physical impact of betrayal.  You may feel reactive, on edge, or disconnected, even in moments that should feel calm.

In my approach, we focus on helping your system work through that disruption so it no longer feels as immediate or consuming.  Over time, you begin to feel more regulated, more present, and more able to move forward.

I serve clients in Fate TX and nearby areas

I support clients in Fate, TX, through virtual therapy, offering a way to engage in consistent, focused work without adding more coordination or time demands to your day.

In Fate, many clients are navigating a period of growth, taking on more responsibility, building stability, and managing increasing expectations across different areas of life. That often comes with a steady level of internal pressure that is not always visible, but is consistently present.

Virtual therapy allows you to access support from your own space, without needing to plan around travel or adjust your schedule in ways that make it difficult to stay consistent. You can log in from home and still have a structured, private setting to work through what is actually happening beneath the surface.

The work is direct, structured, and focused on helping you create lasting change, not just manage symptoms, so you can move forward without carrying the same level of internal strain.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I know if we’re a good fit?

Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.

  • How often do we meet?

Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.

  • How long should I expect to be in therapy?

There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.

At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.

Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.

  • What’s your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.

  • Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?

I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
