Therapist Rowlett TX | Trauma & Anxiety Therapy
If you are looking for virtual therapy in Rowlett, TX, you may be at a point where things are not falling apart, but they are not working the way they used to either. You are still functioning, still showing up, but it takes more effort than before to stay focused, patient, or mentally clear.
My approach is structured and focused on helping you understand what is happening beneath that shift, not just manage it on the surface.
This often includes therapy for high achievers who are used to staying in control and adapting quickly, but are starting to feel the internal cost of sustaining that pace, as well as therapy for men who tend to keep things contained and find it difficult to step out of patterns like internal pressure, irritability, or disconnection.
You can explore the services below to find the option that best aligns with what you need right now.
How it works
Step 1: Stabilize the System
We start by identifying how survival mode is currently operating in your body. We map your triggers, your stress patterns, and your overfunctioning responses. From the beginning, we build nervous system regulation so you have immediate tools to reduce reactivity and increase steadiness.
Step 2: Resolve the Root Patterns
Once stability is in place, we address the trauma and learned patterns underneath the pressure. Overfunctioning, perfectionism, emotional suppression, hyper-independence — we untangle these at the source so you’re not just managing symptoms, you’re changing the wiring driving them.
Step 3: Expand Capacity and Integration
As regulation strengthens, we shift toward integration. Leadership becomes steadier. Relationships feel less reactive. Decisions feel clearer. You begin operating from embodied control instead of chronic bracing. This is where survival strength transforms into regulated power.
Individual Therapy
In Rowlett, TX, life often flows between busy lanes on Lakeview Parkway, school runs, and local errands at Rowlett Town Center. High-achieving adults can feel the weight of constantly performing and juggling professional and personal demands, yet still feel internally exhausted.
Therapy for high achievers focuses on uncovering the habits and patterns that keep you overthinking or emotionally drained. This work helps you shift out of constant pressure, manage stress more effectively, and reconnect with your sense of calm and clarity, even in the middle of a busy day.
Therapy for Men
Therapy for men is designed for individuals accustomed to handling things internally. You may be someone who stays functional, meets expectations, and keeps moving forward, but does not necessarily have a space to process what you are carrying.
Instead of talking things through, you might default to staying busy, thinking through problems on your own, or pushing emotions aside. Over time, that can build into stress, irritability, mental fatigue, or a sense of disconnection that is hard to fully explain but is consistently present.
The goal is not to force vulnerability or turn you into someone you are not. It is to create a space where you can process things in a way that feels direct, structured, and useful, so you can think more clearly, respond more intentionally, and feel less internally loaded over time.
Burnout Therapy
Burnout therapy helps you when your system has been stretched beyond its capacity for too long. Even if your life looks stable from the outside, you may feel drained, unfocused, or emotionally flat. Things that used to feel simple may now take more effort.
In my work, we examine how sustained pressure affects the nervous system. We focus on understanding why your system hasn’t reset. From there, we begin restoring balance, so you can feel more supported throughout your day and less dependent on pushing through.
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety therapy helps you when your mind is constantly active, and your body has difficulty settling. Even when you try to rest, your thoughts may continue moving, making it hard to fully relax or feel present in your day.
In my work, we look at how anxiety affects both your mental and physical state, and why those patterns persist. From there, we begin to create shifts that allow for more calm, more clarity, and a greater sense of balance.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy helps you when your system feels stuck in past experiences. Even if your life looks stable now, your body may still respond as if something unresolved is still present.
In my work, EMDR therapy focuses on helping your nervous system release that stored activation so it no longer drives your reactions. This allows you to feel more calm, more steady, and less influenced by what you’ve already lived through.
PTSD Therapy
PTSD therapy supports you when your reactions feel stronger than what’s happening in the present. You might find yourself becoming reactive, shutting down, or feeling anxious in ways that are hard to explain.
I help you understand how your system is still responding to past experiences and what it needs to process them safely. This work allows you to feel more in control of your responses and less driven by those patterns.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy helps you when your body stays tense even when nothing is actively wrong. You may notice that your system has difficulty settling, making it hard to fully relax or feel at ease.
In my work, we focus on helping your nervous system shift out of that state of activation. This creates space for more calm, more stability, and a deeper sense of physical and emotional balance.
Betrayal trauma therapy
Betrayal trauma and infidelity therapy helps you when your sense of safety has been disrupted. You might notice that you feel anxious, reactive, or unable to fully relax, even when nothing is actively happening.
In my work, we focus on helping your system rebuild that sense of safety from within. This allows you to feel more secure, more stable, and more connected to yourself.
I serve clients in Rowlett TX and nearby areas
I support clients in Rowlett, TX through virtual therapy, offering a way to work on your mental health without having to step out of the pace your day already runs on.
In Rowlett, it is common to be moving between different parts of your day, time at home, quick drives along Lakeview Parkway, stops around the lake area, and routines that are already structured around convenience and timing. Adding another place to go can easily turn into more coordination than it seems.
Virtual therapy removes that layer. You can log in from your own space, whether that is at home before the day starts or once things quiet down, and still have a focused, private setting to work through what is actually going on.
This makes it easier to stay consistent and engaged, so therapy becomes something that fits into your life as it is, instead of something you have to keep adjusting your schedule around.

“I told Monica at our last session, that she saved my life. It would take me a long time to tell you what I've gained from meeting her. She's a life saver. Words can't describe how much she had helped me. I'm trying to think of words to describe my experience, but there are none. She's an angel, and without a doubt, the BEST therapist I ever spoke to. The things she helped me with, I'll take with me for the rest of my life.”

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
