Therapist Heath TX | Trauma Therapy Near You

If you are looking for virtual therapy in Heath, TX, you may be at a point where things are no longer working the way they used to. You are still showing up, still functioning, still meeting expectations, but internally, there may be pressure, overthinking, or a sense that you are carrying more than you process.

My approach is direct, structured, and focused on helping you understand what is happening beneath those patterns, not just manage them. I work in a way that allows you to slow things down enough to see clearly, while still respecting that you are used to operating at a high level.

This often includes therapy for high achievers who are navigating the internal cost of sustaining performance over time, as well as therapy for men who tend to carry stress quietly and find it difficult to shift patterns on their own, even when they have insight into them.

Virtual therapy gives you a consistent space to engage in this work without adding more friction to your schedule, making it easier to stay committed and go deeper over time.

You can explore the services below to find the option that best fits your needs right now.

How it works

Step 1: Stabilize the System

We start by identifying how survival mode is currently operating in your body. We map your triggers, your stress patterns, and your overfunctioning responses. From the beginning, we build nervous system regulation so you have immediate tools to reduce reactivity and increase steadiness.

Step 2: Resolve the Root Patterns

Once stability is in place, we address the trauma and learned patterns underneath the pressure. Overfunctioning, perfectionism, emotional suppression, hyper-independence — we untangle these at the source so you’re not just managing symptoms, you’re changing the wiring driving them.

Step 3: Expand Capacity and Integration

As regulation strengthens, we shift toward integration. Leadership becomes steadier. Relationships feel less reactive. Decisions feel clearer. You begin operating from embodied control instead of chronic bracing. This is where survival strength transforms into regulated power.

Individual Therapy

Therapy for high achievers is designed for individuals who are used to performing at a high level, solving problems quickly, and staying in control, even when it comes at a personal cost.

You may be someone others rely on. You handle responsibilities, meet expectations, and keep things moving forward. At the same time, there may be constant mental activity, pressure to stay ahead, difficulty slowing down, or a sense that your mind does not fully switch off, even when there is time to rest.

In this work, I focus on helping you understand how these patterns developed and why they continue to operate automatically. We look at how overthinking, self-pressure, and internal tension show up in your day to day life, and how they affect your ability to feel present, clear, and regulated.

Therapy for Men

Therapy for men supports clients handling stress independently, but are starting to feel the impact in their relationships, mood, or daily functioning. You may feel more irritable, disconnected, or unsure how to express what is happening internally.

Many men come in after trying to ignore or push through challenges. Over time, this stops working, and patterns of frustration or shutdown become more noticeable.

This work is direct and grounded. Sessions focus on helping you understand what is happening internally and respond differently without forcing approaches that do not fit.

Burnout Therapy

Burnout therapy supports you when pushing through is no longer working the way it used to.  You may notice that even though you’re still meeting expectations, your energy feels depleted, your patience is shorter, and your ability to fully reset is limited.

I focus on helping you understand what your system has been holding for too long. Burnout therapy looks at how ongoing demands affect your nervous system and why rest alone hasn’t been enough.  Together, we work toward restoring regulation, so you can feel more clear, more present, and less overwhelmed by everyday demands.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety therapy supports you when your thoughts feel persistent and difficult to turn off.  You might notice that even during calm moments, your mind continues scanning for problems, making it hard to fully relax or feel present.

I focus on helping you understand how your nervous system has adapted to stay alert, and why that state continues even when it’s no longer needed.  Together, we work toward reducing that internal pressure, so you can experience more ease and clarity throughout your day.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR therapy supports you when insight hasn’t been enough to create real change.  You might understand your patterns and where they come from, but still feel triggered, reactive, or stuck in the same responses.

I use EMDR therapy to work beyond the thinking mind, helping your system reprocess experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity.  This helps you move through your day with more ease, more clarity, and less emotional overwhelm.

PTSD Therapy

PTSD therapy supports you when your system feels stuck between alertness and shutdown.  You might feel constantly on edge at times, and at others feel disconnected, numb, or withdrawn from what’s around you.

I help you understand how these patterns are part of your system trying to protect you, and what it needs to begin shifting out of them.  This work allows you to feel more balanced, more present, and less pulled between extremes.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy supports you when your body feels activated without a clear reason.  You might experience restlessness, fatigue, or discomfort that doesn’t fully make sense based on what’s happening around you.

I help you tune into these physical responses and understand what your system is trying to process.  This work helps you feel more regulated, more connected to your body, and less impacted by underlying stress.

Betrayal trauma therapy

Betrayal trauma and infidelity therapy supports you when trust has been broken and your system doesn’t feel the same.  You might notice emotional intensity, difficulty focusing, or a sense of instability that wasn’t there before.

I help you understand how your nervous system is responding to this rupture and what it needs to begin stabilizing.  This allows you to feel more steady, more in control, and less overwhelmed by what happened.

I serve clients in Heath, TX and nearby areas

I support clients in Heath, TX, through virtual therapy, offering a way to work on your mental health without having to leave the structure of your day.

In Heath, many people are living in larger residential areas near the lake, where home life, routines, and responsibilities are spread out and require coordination, driving, and time just to move from one thing to the next. Even adding one more place to go in your day can turn into a 1- to 2-hour commitment when you factor in getting ready, driving, and coming back.

Virtual therapy removes that layer completely. You can log in from home, between commitments or at the end of the day, without turning it into another block you have to plan around.

Because of that, it becomes easier to stay consistent and actually engage in the work, rather than having therapy feel like just another thing to fit in.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I know if we’re a good fit?

Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.

  • How often do we meet?

Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.

  • How long should I expect to be in therapy?

There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.

At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.

Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.

  • What’s your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.

  • Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?

I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
