Therapist Rockwall TX | Trauma & Anxiety Therapy
If you are looking for a trauma therapist in Rockwall, TX, I provide therapy for high-achieving adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. I work with individuals who are used to functioning at a high level, but are starting to feel the internal cost of sustaining that pace.
I offer individual therapy for high-achieving adults and therapy for men who already have insight into their patterns but still find themselves stuck in overthinking, pressure, or emotional shutdown. Rockwall is a growing area where many people are balancing demanding careers, long commutes, and family life. On the surface, things may look stable. Internally, it often feels like there is no off switch. My work focuses on helping you move beyond coping and into real change in how you function.
How it works
Step 1: Stabilize the System
We start by identifying how survival mode is currently operating in your body. We map your triggers, your stress patterns, and your overfunctioning responses. From the beginning, we build nervous system regulation so you have immediate tools to reduce reactivity and increase steadiness.
Step 2: Resolve the Root Patterns
Once stability is in place, we address the trauma and learned patterns underneath the pressure. Overfunctioning, perfectionism, emotional suppression, hyper-independence — we untangle these at the source so you’re not just managing symptoms, you’re changing the wiring driving them.
Step 3: Expand Capacity and Integration
As regulation strengthens, we shift toward integration. Leadership becomes steadier. Relationships feel less reactive. Decisions feel clearer. You begin operating from embodied control instead of chronic bracing. This is where survival strength transforms into regulated power.
Individual Therapy
Therapy for high achievers is for those who are used to performing at a high level but feel the internal cost of maintaining that pace. You may be successful and reliable, but you constantly overthink, feel mentally exhausted, or are unable to relax even when things are stable.
Many clients describe feeling like their minds do not shut off. There is pressure that stays on, regardless of whether there is an actual problem. Over time, this leads to fatigue, irritability, and disconnection.
In sessions, we focus on understanding the deeper patterns driving this and helping your nervous system shift out of constant activation.
Therapy for Men
Therapy for men is for you if you feel more irritable, disconnected, or unsure how to express what is happening internally. Many men come in after trying to ignore or outwork the problem. Over time, that stops being effective. Patterns of shutdown, frustration, or avoidance begin to show up more consistently.
This work is direct and structured. We focus on helping you understand what is happening internally and respond differently without forcing approaches that do not feel natural.
Burnout Therapy
Burnout therapy is for you if you’ve been carrying a high level of responsibility for a long time, and your system is starting to feel the impact. You may still be functioning and getting things done, but it likely takes more effort than it used to. Fatigue lingers, focus feels harder to access, and rest doesn’t fully bring you back. In my work, I help you understand how chronic pressure has shaped the way your system operates. Burnout therapy focuses on why your body stays in a state of strain, even when you try to slow down. From there, we begin to rebuild a sense of balance, so you can move through your day with more steadiness, more energy, and less internal pressure.
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety therapy is for you if your mind feels like it rarely slows down, even when there’s nothing urgent happening. You may find yourself thinking ahead, replaying conversations, or anticipating what could go wrong, while your body stays tense and your energy feels inconsistent. In my work, I help you understand how anxiety is showing up in your system, not just in your thoughts, but in your physical responses and patterns of activation. From there, we begin to create more space in your system, so you can feel calmer, more grounded, and less controlled by constant overthinking.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy is for you if you feel like certain experiences still affect you, even when you understand them. You may notice emotional reactions that feel automatic, your body staying tense, or certain memories holding more intensity than you expect.
In my work, I use EMDR therapy to help your nervous system process what hasn’t fully processed, so those experiences no longer feel as active in your present. Over time, this allows you to feel more regulated, more in control of your responses, and less impacted by the past.
PTSD Therapy
PTSD therapy is for you if you feel like your body reacts before you have time to think. You may notice sudden shifts in your emotions, tension that builds quickly, or moments where you feel overwhelmed without fully understanding why. In my work, PTSD therapy focuses on helping your nervous system slow down those automatic responses by processing what is still being held beneath the surface. Over time, this helps you feel more steady, more aware of your reactions, and more able to respond instead of react.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is for you if you feel like your body holds onto stress even when your mind is ready to move on. You may notice tightness, shallow breathing, or a constant sense of tension that doesn’t fully go away, even during moments of rest. In my work, somatic therapy focuses on helping you reconnect with your body and understand how these patterns are being held physically. Over time, this allows you to release tension, feel more grounded, and experience a greater sense of ease in your day.
Betrayal trauma therapy
Betrayal trauma and infidelity therapy is for you if your mind keeps returning to what happened, even when you try to move forward. You may find yourself replaying conversations, questioning details, or trying to make sense of something that still feels unresolved. In my work, I focus on helping you process the rupture in trust at a deeper level, not just understanding it, but working through how it impacted your sense of safety. Over time, this helps you feel more grounded, more clear, and less pulled into those constant mental loops.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood. If you're curious about working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs, my approach, and whether it feels like the right fit for you.
How often do we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on their needs and goals. We can discuss what frequency feels best for your process.
How long should I expect to be in therapy?
There is no standard timeline for therapy; it depends entirely on you and what you hope to gain.
At the beginning, we’ll establish goals and check in on progress over time. Healing is not just about “checking off” goals but about feeling confident in your ability to navigate challenges and growth without therapy.
Some people find 3 months helpful for gaining awareness and new tools. Others find that around 6 months, they begin making meaningful changes. Some continue therapy as a space for ongoing self-growth, while others work toward a specific outcome and end when they feel complete. I will never expect you to be in therapy longer than you need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be subject to a fee. This is explained more fully in my intake paperwork.
Can I use my insurance for virtual therapy?
I currently do not accept insurance payments. I can support you in seeking out of network reimbursement if your insurance plans has those benefits.
